Description: Notice - this permit must be left on the job. permit holder agrees: 1) to observe all excavation permit ordinances and requirements of metro and in accordance with chapter 13.20.090 of metro ordinance 097-785 all excavations in and obstructions of the public right of way must comply with the current requirements of the mutcd and be approved by the director of public works. 2) to notify the department of public works not less than 24 hours in advance of commencement of work that will close or partly close to traffic any street or right of way. 3) the contractor should warranty work for one (1) year from the approved final inspection date. 4) contractor responsible for cut one (1) year from date of restoration. 5) notify public works at 862-8782 when excavation has been restored. 6) all work in the right of way must comply with current metro standards 7) public works reserves the right to adjust permit restrictions as needed to assure public safety. 8) permitee is required to obtain any other necessary permit required by local state or federal agencies prior to starting work. note: if department of public works writes a permit the police can override this permit issue a ticket or make you move.
